    Customer Reviews

This is the second Sharp microwave we have had, the other lasted for over 25 yrs. and was much bigger. Although smaller I find the new one to be more efficient and most dishes will fit into it. Definitely recommended.

This is a good basic microwave. It's a fair bit smaller than my old Sharp microwave on the outside but is bigger on the inside so that's all good and it looks nice. I prefer a rotary knob for setting the time etc but at the killer price I got a silver on for in Costco I was prepared to give buttons a whirl (sic) Glad I did it all works fine.
As mentioned by others there's no clock display - which is a bit mean as the 2 blue blobs permanently glowing make it look like you're too lazy to set the clock or you've had a power cut while you were out!
Also (rather misleadingly) in the photo on the box, the display is set to 12:00 - Looking to me, and a lot of other people probably, like a clock waiting to be set so you wouldn't suspect there was no clock until you plug it in and try to set it (Like me!)
Again as mentioned by others, if this won't bother you and you just need a smallish basic microwave oven you won't go far wrong.
    Update:
Irritating quirk found: When it's finished cooking unless you open the door it gives 3 beeps as a reminder (to open the door) every 30 seconds or minute and it keeps going until you open the door. The longest I've resisted the urge to wang the door open to shut it up is about 5 minutes. I'm assuming it would carry on until Armageddon!
